Bilbao reportedly wants Shawn James

According to Chema de Lucas of Gigantes, Bilbao is negotiating with Euroleague veteran Shawn James.

James, 32, spent last season with EA7 Milan, averaging 3.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. Before moving to Milan, he played three seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

James would be a solid replacement for Latavious Williams, who signed with Unics Kazan in Russia.

Berni Rodriguez reportedly agrees to extension with Sevilla

Berni Rodriguez will finish his playing career in Sevilla, according to Juan Calderon of Diario Sur.

Rodriguez, 35, will reportedly sign a two-year contract with a player option for the second year. It will be his 17th season in the ACB and second with Sevilla.

He averaged 6.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game last season.

Spain plays Poland tonight in pre-EuroBasket friendly

After defeating Belgium 67-64 in their first friendly, Spain will take on Poland Saturday night in another EuroBasket warmup match.

Tip-off is scheduled for 21:30 CET in Santander.

Spain looked understandably rusty in their opening game, missing open shots and almost losing a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. In his 100th game with the senior national team, Sergio Llull led Spain with 14 points.

Unicaja to focus more on signing young Spaniards

According to Diario Sur, Unicaja will put more of an emphasis on signing Spaniards to their youth teams.

Like many clubs around Spain, Unicaja has often scouted and signed foreign players to boost its roster. However, that may change going forward.

Unicaja received a wildcard berth to the 2015 Adidas Next Generation Tournament, where they finished 1-2.

Their leading scorers were Romaric Belemene (Congo) and Rares Uta (Romania).

Colton Iverson officially signs in Turkey

Pinar Karsiyaka officially announced the signing of American center Colton Iverson.

Iverson, whose draft rights are held by the Boston Celtics, averaged 7 points and 6 rebounds in 24 Euroleague games with Baskonia.
