Despite its success in the 2nd-tier LEB Oro, Ourense’s promotion to the ACB was denied.
However, the club and its fans received some good news on Tuesday, as the Spanish government approved its appeal.

It appears there will be 19 teams in the ACB next season.
Claver reportedly agrees to deal with Baskonia
Spanish national team member Victor Claver has reportedly reached a two-year agreement with Baskonia, according to Alfonso Azkorreta of El Correo in Vitoria.
Claver’s ACB rights are still held by Valencia, where he played before his jump to the NBA in 2012.
Claver spent six seasons with Valencia and won the Eurocup Rising Star award in 2010. He rarely played for the Portland Trail Blazers in three years with the team, and he briefly joined Khimki Moscow last spring.
Campazzo to Murcia almost official
Facundo Campazzo’s loan to Murcia is essentially a done deal. The Real Madrid point guard told TyC Sports channel in Argentina that he is excited to join Murcia and prove that he is an ACB-caliber point guard.
Campazzo has two years left on his contract with Real Madrid.
Unicaja considers keeping Alberto Díaz
Alberto Díaz spent last season on loan with Fuenlabrada, but Unicaja is thinking about keeping him as a third point guard this season, per Rafael Guerra of La Opinion de Málaga.
Unicaja wants some insurance in case the oft-injured Stefan Markovic goes down, and the club recognizes Nemanja Nedovic is more of a combo guard than a pure point.
Diaz turned 21 in April. This is his final year under contract with Unicaja.
Spain vs. Belgium
Spain will play its first EuroBasket friendly on Tuesday night, hosting Belgium in Gijón.
It will be the senior national team debut for Nikola Mirotic, Willy Hernangomez, Xavi Rabaseda and Guillem Vives. It’s Sergio Llull’s 100th game with La Selección.
Belgium is entering the game after victories against the Netherlands and Greece. The team is led by ACB veterans Sam Van Rossom (Valencia) and Axel Hervelle (Bilbao).
Tip-off is at 21:00 CET.
