Welcome to the first edition of Starting 5.
I tweet all damn day, but I don’t actually publish enough on this blog. So in attempt to write more frequently and educate the masses about the ACB, I’ll be pumping out these quick posts on a near-daily basis.
What you find will here will vary. Essentially, I’m shooting for five bits of news, rumors, social media happenings, things I’m reading or listening to, etc. I’ll focus on the ACB and its players, but occasionally I’ll reach beyond the Spanish borders if I see something particularly cool.
If you have any suggestions or comments, hit me up on Twitter @LosCrossovers. Cheers.
Murcia wants Jonathan Barreiro

Murcia reportedly wants to sign Barreiro for at least four seasons. You can check out his highlights here, courtesy of BasketCantera.TV.

The move is essential for Badalona, who lost Sitapha Savané (Gran Canaria) earlier this summer.
Manresa brings back an old friend
Veteran Spanish baller Román Montañez is back for his third stint in Manresa.
Montañez, 36, started his professional career with the club from 1997-2000 and joined the team again from 2008-2012. After spending last season with Valladolid in the LEB Oro (Spain’s 2nd-tier league), he has returned home to provide some veteran experience on a young roster.
